"At the Reno Uke Festival this past April, I met two performers - a son and his father - who performed on the public stage. Together Jacob and Eric Walter perform as Indalo Wind. This duo currently hails from Portland, Oregon and their music is spiritually soothing with hypnotic tones that resonate with one's heart. Young Jacob is a wizard on the ukulele (he also plays classical guitar) and father Eric plays the Native American flute as well as guitar and ukulele. I am promoting Indalo Wind because they seemed to have a good spirit and compelling story. They are sharing their love for music and finding connections with people in other parts of the world."

"I invited Indalo Wind to perform at the Bagdad Theater and the Mission Theater as part of my multi-media presentation on Nature vs. Nurture for the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry Science Pub series. Their performances were wonderful and the sold out houses raved about their music. In addition to their wonderful music, they illustrated one of the points of my lecture: how musical talent can be passed down from parent to child. Eric and Jacob Walter are an amazingly talented father and son team."

"We were excited when Indalo Wind agreed to participate in our house concert to raise funds for the Global Backpack Project. And we were fortunate that we scheduled them to play last after three other performers. Because our audience was spellbound throughout their performance – the perfect ending to an incredible night of music. The father and son duo are perfectly tuned, with their music, their stories and their interplay. Eric’s poetry reading accompanied by Jacob’s instrumental took everyone to a whole different place. And if you haven’t seen and heard Jacob playing flamenco, you are in for an unexpected treat – a maestro at age 14!"

"One of the best Artichoke Saturday nights of 2013 in my opinion! Indalo Wind, the father and son combo of Eric and Jacob Walter were amazing! Jacob is 14 and a genius. The entire program was a delight, but Jacob also plays amazing flamenco guitar, and I found out his teacher is the fabulous Julia Banzi. She is legendary. She and her husband Tarik, of the internationally acclaimed Al-Andulus Ensemble, produced Indalo Wind's CD. With a talented father; an amazing teacher; and the backing of Julia and Tarik Banzi, how could you not succeed! This was one of the best Saturday night concerts of 2013. Keep your eye on Jacob Walter and his father, Eric!"

"We were thrilled to host Indalo Wind for a house concert. Eric and Jacob performed using a variety of acoustic instruments, including the Native American flute, while transporting the audience with their songs, many inspired by their travels around the world. Highlights of the concert included solo performances by Jacob of his original work and Eric's reading of his poetry with Jacob playing accompaniment. It was a wonderful evening and we hope to host Indalo Wind again in the future."

"The day Indalo Wind arrived at my front door, I was puzzled and totally surprised. This is not the first time my wife has done something musical for my birthday out of left field. When they came in with ukuleles, guitar and Indian Flutes, I was intrigued. THIS should be interesting! Once they started playing I just sat back with a big smile on my face. This was a new and refreshing sound I had not heard before and it's all original, wow! The whole experience was totally delightful and Mary and I have been fans ever since. Their new CD is great to listen to driving to work, relaxing at home and background music with friends over for dinner. We are quite impressed with Jacob's ability and will enjoy watching him progress musically with playing and composition. Eric and Jacob indeed offer a pot of gold at the end of the Indalo rainbow.
