About the Name

“El indalo is a symbol well-known in the Almería province of Spain. It appears in rock art panels of the region that date back approximately 6,000 years. In modern times it connotes magic and good fortune. In 2008, not long after we started playing music together, we were privileged to visit one of these ancient sites on a stormy day in the foothills of the Sierra Maria near the beautiful village of Velez Blanco. We were so impressed by the experience, we wanted the name of our band to reflect the wonder of that place and the magical energy of that enigmatic figure. Such were the first stirrings of Indalo Wind."  (EW)

Quotes
"Their music is spiritually soothing with hypnotic tones that resonate with one's heart...I am promoting Indalo Wind because they seemed to have a good spirit and compelling story. They are sharing their love for music and finding connections with people in other parts of the world."
-- Bud Snell, The Strum Shop, Roseville, CA

"Our audience was spellbound throughout their performance...The father and son duo are perfectly tuned, with their music, their stories and their interplay...and if you haven’t seen and heard Jacob playing flamenco, you are in for an unexpected treat."
-- Ron Herring, Portland, OR

"Their performances were wonderful and the sold out houses raved about their music. In addition to their wonderful music, they illustrated one of the points of my lecture: how musical talent can be passed down from parent to child. Eric and Jacob Walter are an amazingly talented father and son team." -- Larry Sherman, Professor and neuroscientist, Oregon Health & Science University

"One of the best Artichoke Saturday nights of 2013 in my opinion! Indalo Wind, the father and son combo of Eric and Jacob Walter were amazing!…The entire program was a delight.” -- A.L. Young, Portland, OR
